I didn&#039;t realize that older leaves, even if still green and in full sun, don&#039;t contribute much sugar. That will make the decision making much easier next  year.

		<description>Really, the base-leaf that can cover the grape are the eldest, the first leaves formed in spring, so their photosinthetic efficiency is quite small. You can leave them to protect the grape or you can remove them to allow more sunlight to reach the fruit, it dipends on the season and on the site you are cultivating, but I do not think it will affect the sugar content in your grape...
